Daniel Pierre is a dedicated medical professional, theologian, and humanitarian born and raised in Haiti. Motivated by a personal experience of his mother’s illness and the financial challenges faced in accessing healthcare, Daniel chose to pursue a career in medicine. His determination to make healthcare accessible to all led him to graduate from medical school in Haiti, where he earned his medical license.

During his service at the Center Hospital in La Plaine, Daniel identified a critical need for neonatal care. Witnessing the heartbreaking loss of premature babies due to inadequate facilities, he took the initiative to establish a Neonatal Unit. Under his leadership, this unit became the hospital’s most active and vital service, saving countless lives.

Daniel founded The Gift of Health for Everyone Foundation in 2015, with a mission to provide medical care to underserved communities in Haiti. Through mobile clinics and health worker training, the foundation reaches remote areas, addressing malnutrition and offering scholarships for children’s education.

Daniel’s journey reflects his unwavering commitment to serving others, making healthcare accessible, and creating opportunities for a brighter future.

Amanda Dawn Immel is a pediatric nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has participated in mobile clinics and education seminars for nursing students and youth in Haiti with Dr Daniel Pierre and The Gift of health for everyone Foundation. She has a certificate in Global Health from the University of Massachusetts, a diploma in Tropical Nursing from the Liverpool School of Tropical Nursing and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health and environmental health. She has a passion for providing and improving health care and empowering women and children through education.

Jean Gaël Fernelon is a passionate physician in Haiti, working in neonatal and pediatric health at a hospital in La Plaine. He is a passionate advocate for accessible healthcare, particularly for children and pregnant women. Through his work with the Gift of health for everyone Foundation, mobile clinics and educational initiatives have been established to reach the most remote and vulnerable communities. By addressing the areas of greatest need, and with my contribution as part of the team, we aim to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing healthcare. Thanks to his efforts, more and more people now have access to quality care and essential health information. His dedication and passion are an inspiring example for all those striving to make a difference in the field of healthcare.
